Based on the TFSforMAMBO knowledge (since 2001), JoomlaStats is a user/bot aware statistics component for Joomla. JoomlaStats is one of the greatest tools to be aware of what users/bots are doing with the website and is especially developed for the Joomla community where the programming is also aligned to fit perfectly with Joomla. It is released under the GPL, this means that it is completely free.
Some of the features of JoomlaStats are as follows:
- JoomlaStats is session related – the webmaster can see not only the page hits but also what happened during that particular session.
- Detailed visitor information – it enables the webmaster to investigate what pages a visitor went through, including the path that was followed. If the visitor logged in to Joomla, it shows his/her name as well.
- Nice readable page names – it logs the name of the page instead of something like http://domain.com/index.php?optionId=204’
- Bots/Spiders are completely separated from browsers – Contrary to other stats that often display x unique visits, where real visitors and bots are combined, with JoomlaStats the webmaster can see what real users are viewing, without being irritated with the bots/spider requests.
- Tons of stats – Referrers, Bots/Spiders, Search engines & Keywords, Systems (OS), Browser, Visitors UserName, Visitors IP, Visitors Country, Visitors NS-Lookup, Page Hits (also by Visitor), Average Visitors/bots.
- Different modules to have frontend visability.
- Exclusion of IPs, System, and Browser – that way the webmaster can exclude some sources from influencing the statistics. For example your own admin source.
- Supports Joom!Fish translations (from version 2.1.9).
All these features and the GPL license make JoomlaStats and ideal component for website statistics and also one of the top Joomla extensions. |
