A document management solution for Joomla, DOCman makes offering downloadable documents on the Joomla site just a breeze. The webmaster can manage documents across multiple categories and subcategories and give users permission to upload, download or edit documents. These documents can be stored either locally or remotely and the webmaster can even prevent direct linking with them using DOCman’s build-in anti-leech system. All this can be done from within an intuitive and simple to use administration interface.

Some of the features of the DOCman are:

• Nested categories – the documents can be organized across infinite categories and subcategories.
• Custom Groups – the documents can be owned by a specific registered user, a groups of registered users, all registered users or everybody .
• Powerful Permission System – The webmaster can easily set default guest, frontend and document and creator permissions and fine-tune permissions on a document level. DOCman's permissions system gives full control over who can access, edit, manage and download the documents.
• Remote or Local Storage – the files can either be hosted locally or files stored on a remote server can easily be linked to.
• Statistics – The webmaster can display a download counter per document. All downloads are also logged (by user, IP, browser, date and hour) to give full overview of what is happening with the documents.
• Integrated Search System – the documents can be searched by name and/or description. The search system integrates with Joomla using an optional plug-in.
• Security – the built-in anti-leech system avoids direct linking to documents. Real paths to documents are never displayed to users.
• Flexible Themes – the webmaster can change the look and feel of the documents repository using DOCman’s flexible theme system. She/he can easily create her/his own themes to match the look and feel of the site.
