CiviCRM is a libre, free and open source Constituent Relationship Management system for Joomla. It is created by the open source community, coordinated by CiviCRM LLC, and 501c3 non-profit Social Source Foundation. It is a web-based, internationalized and designed specifically for advocacy, non-profit and public sectors. This component allows users to manage the organization's contacts and creates a better connection between the CMS and constituents.

CiviCRM is a powerful contact, eCRM and fund-raising system that allows users to record and manage the information about their various constituents including employees, donors, activists, volunteers, vendors, etc. It helps to track and execute donations, conversations, transactions, events or any type of correspondence with each constituent and stores it in easily accessible and manageable source.

CiviCRM has multiple sub-modules that are based on the CRM which include:

CiviContribute: It is a donation module to accept online payments through Authorize.net, PayPal and Google Checkout. It has support for Pledges and Soft Contributions.

CiviEvent: It is an event management module for integrated event registration and management.

CiviMember: As its name suggests, it is a membership module used for online signup and membership management.

CiviReport: It is a reporting module to make sense of all collected data.

CiviPledge: A module used to manage pledges.

CiviMail: It is a high performance broadcast email engine.

CiviCase: Case management for human service providers.

Personal Campaign Pages: Used to add donors and constituents to the fund-raising team.

CiviCRM is a web-based solution that runs on the user’s web server, or on the hosting provider’s server. It is affordable and cost effective as it is available without a license fee.
